Mpox Vaccination Summer Vibes PSA 2023

Most vaccines offer you a level of protections, just like sunblock. Sometimes you need to reapply for more protection. The Mpox vaccine is based on two shots several weeks apart to provide you with the strongest level of protection if you are exposed to Mpox. You only need the two dose Mpox vaccination for Mpox to get strongest recommended protection.

Monkeypox cases are on the rise in SF. If you get it, you might feel like you have the flu – you know, fever, headache, muscle aches, chills, feeling really tired. Or you might get swollen lymph nodes, or spots or a rash that looks like blisters or pimples. If you notice symptoms like a rash or sores anywhere on your body visit https://sf.gov/mpox to learn what you should do.

Hi there. You may have heard about monkeypox and how it spreads, but here is some information about how it does not spread. You don’t get monkeypox as easily as you could get COVID. And monkeypox is not spread to anyone before a person has symptoms. Monkeypox is also not spread by:

Talking to someone for a brief time, or
Walking by someone with monkeypox, like in a grocery store.
Visit https://sf.gov/mpox to learn more.
