Syphilis

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by a type of bacteria called Treponema pallidum. It can spread from person to person by physical contact during vaginal, anal, or oral sex. Syphilis can cause serious complications when left untreated but it is curable with antibiotics.
