Welcome! We’re here to help.

San Francisco City Clinic is a trusted source for sexual-health services and information, known for our experienced professionals and our commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care for over 100 years.

Our mission is to improve our community’s sexual health by preventing, diagnosing, and treating sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV, and preventing unintended pregnancy.

SF City Clinic is part of the San Francisco Department of Public Health’s Population Health Division. The Population Health Division (PHD) provides core public health services for the City and County of San Francisco: health protection, health promotion, disease and injury prevention, and disaster preparedness and response.

SF City Clinic is not currently charging patients for services. You may need to pay for medications if we are unable to provide medications for the services you receive that day.

  • Testing, diagnosis, and treatment of HIV and other STIs
  • PEP and PrEP for HIV prevention (preventative medication taken before and after exposure to HIV)
  • Partner services for people diagnosed with syphilis or HIV
  • Vaccines against hepatitis A, hepatitis B, meningococcus, and human papillomavirus (HPV)
  • Testing for hepatitis C (HCV) and treatment of HCV for people with Medi-Cal
  • Women’s health services, including pregnancy testing, birth control, and emergency contraception, plus cervical cancer screening (i.e., Pap smears) for uninsured women
  • Free condoms
