Known for our expertise. Loved for our care.

San Francisco City Clinic is a trusted source for sexual health services and information, known for our experienced professionals and commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care for over 100 years.

Many of our staff have been re-assigned to other locations to help with the SFDPH’s response to coronavirus and SF is currently under shelter-in-place orders. Therefore, effective March 9th, 2020 we can only see patients who:

  • Have symptoms of a sexually transmitted disease (STD)
  • Have a partner with an STD
  • Have been contacted by a SF City Clinic staff person and asked to come in
  • Are requesting HIV Post-Exposure Prevention (PEP), pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) or emergency contraception
  • Are HIV positive and not on medication, and would like help getting into care

PLEASE CALL 415-487-5500 before you come in so we can determine how best to assist you. For instance we may be able to give you advice over the phone or call-in a prescription for you.

Thanks for your understanding as we all work together to keep SF healthy!

SF City Clinic is not able to test patients for coronavirus. If you are experiencing respiratory symptoms like cough, fever, or shortness of breath, and are concerned about coronavirus, please contact your primary care provider or visit for more information.
